The collection contains photographs, letters, genealogical information, and news articles related to the Atkinson-Gray families.

This collection contains many different types of materials. There are newspapers, newspaper clippings, photographs, diplomas, certificates, correspondence, wills and probate records, journals, newsletters, and several books. Some items of note include plaques honoring various family members and the Arthur and Maude Cleaver’s original Prairie View A and M diplomas from the 1911-1912.

Family photographs, baby books, teaching certificates, letters, particularly re: Marguerite Pierce Turlington, Margaret Elma Turlington Randolph (sister-in-law) and William West Randolph (nephew); receipts from Rusk Co. businesses; papers on the organization and management of the Harmony Hill Cemetery Association; invoices and checks for Marguerite P. Turlington's donations to the First Baptist Church of Tatum; and royalty checks and estate planning documents for Marguerite P. Turlington.

This collection consists primarily of photographs dating from the early 20th century until 2001. There are a few newspaper clippings, postcards, and a telegram from Western Union.
