Abstract The Samuel E. Asbury Papers document the life and work of a North Carolina-born chemist who served as assistant state chemist at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station from 1904 to 1945, and who developed a parallel career as a collector of Texana and researcher of early Texas history.
