The minute book lists council members from December 12, 1885 to May 30, 1886 and gives reports on council meetings, briefly outlining activities, officer elections, and treasury records. Speeches, essays, and thesis were presented at most meetings. A portion of the book contains writings on educational topics and these may have been the texts for some of the programs presented. Toward the end of the book there is an undated reference to the break up of the council and how funds left in the treasury were to be handled.
