The District Court Civil and Criminal Case-Files are semi-processed. Organized by case number, the majority of 19th century material is in labeled archival folders. Case files from the 20th century however, need to be re-housed in archival folders and labeled. Please be patient as we work to get a full index of the cases in each box online. This collection is open for research (photocopies must be made by faculty or staff).

About 1870, the county changed their indexing system from alphabetical to case number. This change is reflected in the collection.
