Sheriff David Rusk about whether he is aware of an ongoing contract between Nacogdoches and San Augustine counties, as well as other local counties, whereby fees owed from one county to another are kept by the county in debt. Davis notes that the fees each county collects are roughly equal, so this arrangement saves them the hassle of mailing them, 9/1/1845
