Abstract

The Herrera Family Papers document the history of a longstanding Hispanic family in Nacogdoches County, Texas, from the nineteenth through the twentieth century. Materials include an original 1871 land grant signed by Governor Richard B. Hubbard, deeds, photographs, account books, and family records that trace the Herrera family's land ownership, community connections, and multigenerational presence in East Texas.
