Scope and Contents

Section 1 - First Class - Record of certificates (1-783) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the certification number, certificate grantee, amount of land granted, names of witnesses, and the date of the grantee’s emigration (1827-1846).

Section 2 - Second Class - Record of certificates (1-234) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the certification number, certificate grantee, amount of land granted, name of witnesses, and the date of the grantee’s emigration (1836-1837).

Section 3 - Third Class - Record of certificates (1-666) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the certification number, certificate grantee, amount of land granted, names of witnesses, and the date of the grantee’s emigration (1833-1843).

Section 4 - Fourth Class - Record of certificates (1-137) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the certification number, certificate grantee, date of emigration, amount of land granted, names of witnesses, and the date of issue (1838-1844).

Section 5 - Record of certificates (1-551) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the application number, names of applicants, number of old certificate, date of old certificate, amount of land, names of witnesses, certificate class, and the date of issue (1838-1852).

Section 6 - Record of conditional certificates (1-142) granted by the Board of Commissioners, showing the certification number, certificate grantee, date of emigration, amount of land granted, names of witnesses and the date of certification (1833-1848).
