Biographical or Historical Information

The School of Theatre is more than just an academic department at Stephen F. Austin State University.  It offers students the opportunity to perform in live plays and theatrical events and also offering these same events to the public for entertainment.  For a time the Department of Speech was included in the department before it was incorporated into the Department of Communication in 1973. As of 2011 the School of Theatre was part of the College of Fine Arts.Note written by Greg Bailey
