Biographical or Historical Information

The University Professional Women's organization was formed on the SFASU campus in 1972 with the purpose of enabling eligible women at SFA to become better acquainted with one another and to discuss matters of mutual interest. An eligible woman is one who holds or had held faculty or equivalent academic status at the university. Officers from the newly organized University Professional Women at Stephen F. Austin State University. (from left) Dr. Lucille Norton, professor of health and physical education, president; Dr. Sibyl Wyatt, professor of English, vice-president; and Dr. Elnita Stanley, assistant professor of school services, secretary-treasurer.
