This collection has a number of meeting minutes for the LAAC. It also has a number of files that deal different issues and policies that the Council has reviewed such as: library reorganization, tenure/promotion, salary equity, and announcing of positions.

Biographical or Historical Information
The Library Academic Advisory Council (LAAC) was formed in 1973 and held its first meeting on October 24, 1973. The LAAC was formed as a Committee to advise the Library Director on policy matters and serve as a review panel for promotion. The Council also serves as the library’s Search Committee to screen and interview applicants for professional librarian positions. The Council consists of four professional librarians who have completed two years of service at the SFASU Library.Note written by Greg Bailey
