The majority of this collection is made up of files and Self Studies for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to meet accreditation requirements. There are also files on the development of the doctoral programs at the university, and minutes for the Graduate Council and the Research Council.

Biographical or Historical Information
The Graduate School is responsible for providing leadership and coordination as needed to strengthen and diversify the graduate offering Stephen F. Austin. Additionally, the staff and I are here to accommodate you with the necessary monitoring and reporting required for graduate student admission, records, and graduation requirements. As of 2009 SFA offered 43 master and 3 doctoral degrees to students.Note written by Greg Bailey
