John William Minton. 1875-1959 B: Geneva, Sabine County, Texas.  Lived in Hemphill (Sabine County).  Minton was President of Hemphill State Bank, local lawyer and member of the Democratic Party, member of the TX State House of Representatives.  Minton was an alternate delegate to the 1940 Democratic Convention for district #2, where FDR was nominated for a third term, with Henry Wallace as the Vice-Presidential nominee.  He was one of the organizers of the Sabine Citizens Telephone Company.  He died of a heart attack in 1959.
