This collection holds many forms and letters received by Tucker from the leaders of the Texas State History Survey Committee in Austin. This collection also holds newspapers and research Tucker did on the local Nacogdoches history and the history he researched of Texas and East Texas in particular.

Biographical or Historical Information

F. I. Tucker was a lawyer in the city of Nacogdoches and a chairman of the county's Texas Historical Foundation which is part of the Texas State Historical Survey Committee. As a chairman, Tucker received a lot of forms, notices, and letters from the head office in Austin. As a person interested in history, F. I. Tucker did a great deal of research, particularly focused on Nacogdoches, East Texas, and greater Texas.
