Biographical or Historical Information

Xavier W. Pressler (May 2, 1821 - Sept. 22, 1893) and his wife Carolina Rost (May 1, 1831 - Feb. 23, 1897) arrived in Nacogdoches County about 1855. Although both are listed on census records as born in France, Carolina's cemetery record lists her as born in Germany. Xavier was a tailor and had a general merchandise store.
