The collection consists of 13 items related to H.S. Greer. Of interests is an 1874 agreement document that Giles B. Crain, A.J. Simpson, and John T. White agree to thoroughly clean out the Anelina River from Pattonia, or head of navigation, to Mart Creek.

Biographical / Historical
Henry Seaborn Greer (1852-1899) was the son of David Daniel Greer (1813-1874) and Eliza Jame Humber (1824-unk). In 1876 he married Helen Frances Cox (1854-1931) daughter of John Randolph "J.R." Cox (1822-1896) and Louisa Lavina Chapman (1818-1897).
Henry S. was born in Arkansas and by 1860 his father David moved the family to Nacogdoches, Texas. David and Henry were both farmers in Nacogodches.
