Biographical / Historical
The campaign ticket was determined to be from 1872 by looking at the U. S. Congressional service of the men listed as candidates. Asa H. Willie's only served one term in Congress (1873-1875). William S. Herndon (1871-1875) and Roger Q. Mills (1873-1899) were also candidates in 1872. Also, there were electors on the ballot for the 1872 Presidential election.
