 File — Box: 4, Folder: 63
Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The first 8 boxes of the San Augustine County probate case files are organized alphabetically by last name. The majority of these files range from the 1830s-1860s. About 1870, the county changed their indexing system from alphabetical to case number. This change is reflected in the collection. Note: Probate case files from the 1870s-1940s with no discernable case number are mixed in with the earlier alphabetically organized materials.
