Biographical or Historical Information

Elliot A. P. Evans was an art professor at Stephen F. Austin State University for the 1947-1948 school year. He became Chairman of the Department of Art at Santa Barbara College of the University of California during the time of his investigation of East Texas Houses. His research was published in 1952 in the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Volume 11, no.4.
