Biographical or Historical Information

Maedelle Huckaby Weaver was born near Nacogdoches, TX in the 1920s to Hugo Hamilton and Cletie Geneva Dobbs Huckaby. The second of seven children, Maedelle graduated from Nacogdoches High School in the 1940s and moved to Austin, TX shortly after. In Austin, she met Joseph Cline Weaver whom she would later marry. The couple returned to Nacogdoches, and together, she and Cline had two children, Joe and Johnny.  Maedelle worked at the Nacogdoches Senior Center for many years.
