Biographical / Historical

William West Turlington (1858-1935) and Margaret T. Bostick (1870-1929) lived in the area around Tatum, Rusk County, Texas. They has six children Eli Turlington (1892-1947), Verna Turlington (1895-1962) who married Banks Williams, Claude Joel Turlington (1897-1959) who married Rebeca Melton, Grady Turlington (1901-1969) who married Marguerite Pierce, Felton Turlington (1904-1979) who married Floyd Whitaker, and Margaret Elma (1907-2000) who married William Randolph, they had a son West Randolph (1945-1974).

The collection is material from Marguerite Pierce Turlington and Margaret Elma Turlington Randolph. Many of the photos are from the area around Tatum, Rusk County, Texas and include 1920’s images from Jefferson, Marion County, Texas and Caddo Lake. Marguerite Piece Turlington and Margaret Elma Turlington Randolph worked in K-12 schools and the collection includes school photos and letters from students.
