Biographical / Historical
Marvin Thomas Powers (1910-1998) was the son of Eddie Powers (1884-1934) and Harriett McElwee (1888-1971). He married Beaulah Mae McKissic (1913-1972) in 1931, together they had three children, including NoverLene, Marvin Verdean, and Eddy.
In 1930 Marvin was working as a trucker at a sawmill in Anderson County, Texas and in 1940 he was working for Jessie Summers at Summers Lumber Company in Nacogdoches, Texas. Then by 1950 he hauled pulpwood from an unknown paper mill.
Marvin was a Mason and a Baptist. Marvin and Beaulah lived in Nacogdoches, Texas until their deaths.

Abstract
