John Q. Anderson Papers
This collection contains offprints and photocopies of articles and essays by John Q. Anderson arranged in the categories of American literature, folklore, southern history, and education. Biographical information on Anderson dates from 1953 to 1980. Sixteen book reviews written by Anderson are included. There is also a bibliography of John Q. Anderson's publications.
John Q. Hays Collection
Two typescript drafts of Hays' book "Mark Twain and Religion: A Mirror of American Eclecticism" with a hand written index and notes. The book was edited by Fred A. Rodewald and has an introductory note by Edwin W. Gaston Jr., both SFA professors.

John Scouller McCulloch Reminiscences
McCulloch's memory of experiences in 1864 as a Union Army chaplain taken prisoner at Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, and marched to Camp Ford near Tyler, Texas. Describes battles, wounded men, barracks, amusements, sanitary conditions, punishments, torture, and trading among prisoners and guards.
Johnson Family Papers
This collection includes a daybook with minutes of the Johnson Chapel Sunday School (1919-1921), two marriage licenses, and newspaper clippings related to the church, the Erasmus Johnson family and the Otis Sadler family.

This collection consists of 79 ledger books documenting store business. There are 34 account books (1912-1949), 22 day books (1915-1942), 9 cash books (1916-1951), 6 commercial accounts books (1931-1947), 3 order books (1929-1940), 3 check receipts books (1933-1944), a cotton purchasing account book (1928-1931), and a daily record of cash receipts book (1929, 1940).
Joseph E. Mayfield Collection
Chiefly the writings of the physician and Civil War veteran of Nacogdoches on various aspects of the early history of Nacogdoches, most of which were published in his column "Nacogdoches Traditions" in the Daily Sentinel.

Judy McDonald Collection
These papers include academic work from Judy’s college years in the early 1950s and photographs from the early 1960-2005. The collection contains most of Judy’s “scrapbook”, collected over her years as mayor of Nacogdoches, which consist mainly of newspaper articles taken from the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel.

Kate Florence Montgomery Wilson Journal
Mother of poet and novelist, Karle Wilson Baker. Journal gives an account of family activities in Little Rock, Arkansas, including church life, social gatherings, concerts and special events, and health. Traces Baker's literary beginnings and charts her progress in music, school, and sports. The family later moved to Nacogdoches where Kate died.
