Identifier: B
The Business and Organizational Collection provides insight into regional commercial and non-profit activities. Church registers, doctors ledgers, scrapbooks from various clubs and organizations, and business records from companies such as Mahdeen Hair Tonic, Minton & Minton Lawyers, and Rusk General Store are among some of the collections. A variety of organizations have donated records including the East Texas Historical Association, Texas State Genealogical Society, Four Seasons Garden Club, Center Woman's Reading Club and the Nacogdoches Rotary Club. These collections document the social, cultural and economic history of East Texas from European colonialism to the present day and provide a view into southern culture and life.
