B. Business & Organizational Collection

The collection of materials consists of plat maps, field notes and other information accumulated by Elmer Hill, his father, H. C. Hill and his father’s predecessor, W. T. Harlson who worked in the 1800’s in Tyler, San Augustine and Nacogdoches counties.

The church register list members from 1871 to 1966. Also included are lists of the church's pastors, 1889-1966, infant baptisms from 1889, marriages performed from 1871, a Trustees report for church property in 1936, and a Board of Trustees report on church property for October 21, 1963.

Business ledger of an unknown general store likely located in Shelby County, Texas. The ledger lists customers' names, their purchases, the price of those purchases, and also has a customer index in the front.

This collection contains copies of deeds and tax receipts for blocks of land in the City of Nacogdoches, Texas.

This collection consists of 79 ledger books documenting store business. There are 34 account books (1912-1949), 22 day books (1915-1942), 9 cash books (1916-1951), 6 commercial accounts books (1931-1947), 3 order books (1929-1940), 3 check receipts books (1933-1944), a cotton purchasing account book (1928-1931), and a daily record of cash receipts book (1929, 1940).

The collection includes accident and insurance reports, blueprints, catalogs (price lists and parts lists), correspondence, farm equipment and machinery literature, photographs, statements, ledgers and other records of this Longview manufacturer and seller of plows and farm equipment

The Legg General Store collection contains books of accounts received as well as receipt books. There is also included a letter sent from Andy’s nephew, Lalonde Legg who was stationed overseas during World War I, to Andy in 1918. Included are land and warranty deeds, as well as oil, gas, and mineral leases.

The collection mainly consists of 80 scrapbooks about the history of the college. Many oversized items pertain to the theater productions, which include posters and photo collages of the productions.

This collection consists of various event programs, speech transcripts, business documents such as minutes and agendas, letters, photographs, and photocopies of scrapbooks and newspaper articles. Two items of note are the two intact scrapbooks of the East Texas Colony of the Magna Charta Dames.
